[ everyone scrambling to get out of their cult robes like AAA.

astarion’s… nearby. not actively poking into the church. he’s in his camp clothes with a spindly looking greenish blade with a decorative skull now attached to his side. ]

No. Something creepy? In a church?

Most things to the gods go unanswered unless it suits them.

[ like you're a god's daughter or something simple like that. ]

Well, yes. As long as it's bothering someone else and not me.

Or they simply ignore you, fullstop.

[ we love a little fantasty atheism.

although. ]

Yes, well. There's something rather enjoyable about a sacrificial ritual blowing up in the instigator's face. I highly recommend it.

I wouldn't say lots.

[ ... ]

But I suppose the outcome was a good one.

Personally I think it could've been worse, but I suppose I was pressed for time.

Many, many things.

[ there's a tone there that suggests that's probably all she's getting on that topic. ]

[ he just sort of... exhales slowly. ]

Yes, well. I suppose I'd feel more elated if I didn't get kidnapped before I could really enjoy the violent afterglow.

[ don't call it that. ]

When I feel up to popping a proverbial champagne bottle in celebration, I will be sure to let them know.

[ give him like. a number of business days. he’s working on it. ]

Still, it doesn’t seem like there’s much logic to who was taken from when or where. Other than maybe the most awkward time points possible.

[ puts them over at the cemetery because why not, let's go visit all the creepiest places. ]

I suppose this and the mortuary make sense now we know they're planning to have us all dead within the next couple of months.

[ internal screaming. ]

[ there’s a dog here, launda. a dog. ]

They do have a talent for being a gigantic thorn in most people’s sides.

[ and this isn’t even one they know anything about. he can’t make any personal decisions on this stupid cult if all he knows is step one: summon individuals, step two: they die, ??? profit in the form of giant beast. ]

… Quaint is certainly one word for it.

[ looking back at my tag like wow imagine if i could spell names right. ]

The dog has been… better company than some people I suppose. [ gazes. ] Although, as you said, I’m not sure about the point of it.

[ he waves a hand, slightly agitated. ]

The dead can still stop moving. That probably counts more than enough for their little list of criteria. Do you feel pain when you take a blow?
