later, she can be found sitting at the table, kneading and rolling a ball of soot with her hands like it's a ball of dough. there's a bucket of yet more soot at her feet; she apparently just swept the floors. she doesn't seem to notice laudna come in. ]
[it's hard to hear anyone begging for their life like that. she wasn't particularly close to him, but it's hard for her to tune that out, all the same.]
That's... odd. Could there be a lingering effect from the rituals? Or is she just trying to avoid confirming, so that she doesn't end up in Camille's position?
Maybe we can wait and see if something changes tomorrow, when all the rituals are over with. And if she really is afflicted, there could be tells for that, too.
We can give her a chance; maybe someone else can find out, too. But we do need to decide what to do about her if she is one. Otherwise, she'll be killed.
