My upgraded ability.

[it came in the form of a dream.]

Gale and I watched the boardwalk last night. And I had a dream in which I saw a person placing several items down by the game booths. Then someone else came, pursuing cautiously, and they threw something at them and they both fled.

Gale dreamed of someone being chased incessantly by a raging pursuer, wrecking havoc as they go. The two split and then met again, armed, and battled. There was a great deal of fire, and both fled.

You watched it... in your dream? So these are things that happened last night?

Yes, I think so. I think these were two sets - a culprit and a victim, both times.

[sootprints]

It sounds like a valuable clue. Especially if there was "havoc" in that place...

In the one that you saw, who was it who threw something? The one placing items, or the one pursuing?

The one placing items threw it at the one pursuing.

[So perhaps that was Kanda, though it seems rather cautious for him. The fierce battle could have been he or Rondo.]

Kanda and Rondo were both skilled fighters. It would take someone of comparable strength or skill to match either of them in combat.

Yes. Though the transformation does seem to lend some strength - but the dream Gale had suggested a fight with weapons.

Even without knowing what weapons they were, it's a good starting point.

I can't tell people about it at trial, since it's meant to be a secret - so it seemed like a good idea for you to know.

I understand. Is it better not to say what was seen, exactly? Or could we share it without revealing the source?

[undread]

I think if we could come up with a way to share it by making it seem as though it came from another source, that would be allowed, but for now, it may be best to just try and figure out what was seen and use these dreams to inform our theories.

I could simply claim that the information came from an anonymous letter. We've received a few of those lately.

[ only because some people don't sign their letters... ]

But I leave that choice up to you.

Let's see if it's necessary - if it's needed to clear up a misconception, then we'll do just that.
