They're big birds. They can't really fly, but they're some of the fastest things around, and their kicks are no joke either. People ride 'em or use them to pull carriages and stuff.
I suppose we do our share, but powerful magic users tend to have ways around that. Not me, but you know - we know some people. Recently they sent us a wizard for the sole purpose of teleporting us back and forth.
