Unfortunately, I am fairly certain of the need to winnow our numbers to below this "magic" six. I believe it cannot be so low as they decide to simply restart the entire ritual, but does not need to be precisely five. Four would also likely be fine.

We are a lot though, so I don't think a couple of body drops to get us closer would be bad as long as it doesn't look suspicious to the cult.
