Likely to just be a terror manifested by this place, probably. Although I do question why not you, and others instead... to sow discomfort and distrust? I don't know.
I think, from what I could glean, they took care of her. At the least for now. But I pray for your sake... and everyone else's that she doesn't return, and similar others don't arrive.
