...Indeed, that's my dress. Though it has seen better days, I'm afraid. It could do with some patching and repairs.

[not so much from the swamp so much as generally being worn around while leading a very active d&d lifestyle for a few weeks.]

Still, it is much more ladylike than these plain white dresses, I think.

Where did you acquire such a beautiful dress?

I commissioned it. Except the corset piece. Imogen bought it for me as a gift, and I embroidered it myself.

Oh, I don't work with clothes.

I'm more of a chronic shopper.

It doesn't matter. None of it followed me here. And it's not like there's a shopping center around.

[simply being rich is so much less impressive than being a designer but it's also very intriguing.]

The truly wealthy don't need to have money with them, I think. They simply act rich and everyone believes them.

[ Well, that would explain Aventurine. He's new money. ]

Speaking from experience?

Not personal experience, but I've known a few. There is a fellow who has traveled with us for a while. Not a penny to his name, but he always dresses so fancy, and always acts as though he belongs anywhere he wishes to go. That's how I could tell.

[tactic]

Sounds like a fun guy.

[ Aventurine would get along with him. ]

You're part of a traveling group, then?

He's alright.

We're a little group that does odd jobs and the like.

I think so as well. But whatever their character, it's not uncommon.
