I don't know. I don't want to be tethered to someone I won't see eye to eye with, but the rewards seem worth the risk.

A disagreement might not merely not be getting along. It might be tying myself to a person who has different priorities, and who has the ability to risk me and my life for those priorities.

Well... The problem is, you wouldn't really know until you know, right? And by then, it'll be too late to take it back.

I suppose not. But you could get a sense, talking to someone, and stop short of telling anyone you're uncertain of.
