It's just a hobby. I was on my own for a very long time, and making them was a nice way to have someone to talk to!

Sometimes someone who can't talk back is better than someone who can.

People don't always take well to me, since I'm a little spooky. A little off. I would try to keep to myself, but even that usually eventually led to me being driven off.

... People can be pretty harsh to others who "creep them out". [ he says it slowly, like he's thinking of something in particular ] Even when they haven't done anything.

Yes. It's cruel. But I'm not in the habit of expecting more from small minded people. It simply makes it difficult to get settled.

That why you started traveling with those friend of yours?

In one of the towns, I met Imogen. She was a bit of an outcast, too. So even though I had to leave, she came with me. And it was easier after that, she could do the talking with people if they didn't want to speak to me and she's very capable.

So she's a people person. [ he understands the need to have a person who actually is good at dealing with people ] You guys join the rest of your group together, then?

Well. Not exactly. I would say I'm more of a people person and she struggles with them, but people react much more favorably to her than they do to me.

[imogen is an introvert but she's not a creepy zombie.]

Yes. We all sort of stumbled together and wound up getting hired to do a bit of investigating around the city.
