[let's explore! laudna is poking her head in the church, lacing her fingers together. she's changed out of the white dress into a ballgown but she's still wearing a flower crown with her long hair hanging down in her face.]
[Exploration time! Lucas is swinging by the church because he frankly looks like he belongs here, with his simple black pants and frilly white shirt. He has run into so many people with bizarre and unexpected appearances but miss ballgown deadzo still gets a very brief little pause before he peers into the church, too.]
Did it...? It looks the same to me as it did yesterday.
[LAUDNA YOUR JOINT. He just watches this with open concern.]
Are you alright...? Do you need help? [But he'll nod at the warning thanks. He has at least seen the rude posters, so:] ...Was it Aventurine's, or Death's?
[wATCHING IT POP LIKE A LEGO that's fine. He's also very suitably somber for the occasion of a double death, though he doesn't seem all that perturbed by the energy she's bringing to the table about it.]
I'm not certain that I would say "interesting" so much as deeply concerning, for many reasons...
[ON THIS THE HOLY DAY OF JESUS CRISPY Lucas isn't in the church for once, but rather standing and staring at the pyre. It's back-to-normal flames aren't much of a comfort, though. If anything, he's staring in the absent sort of way of a person who's lost in their thoughts and their eyes are just doing whatever the hell. His arms, folded over his middle, are posed loosely, but his posture on a whole is somewhat terse.
Whenever he spots her, he'll give a little nod in greeting.]
...Are you alright?
[Normally this would just be A Polite Question that he'd ask even Laudna despite the fact that she seems generally okay with just about anything, but she was SO FROWNY.]
[It wasn't Erin's fault but he's not about to police how anyone feels about how a 14 year old boy got supermurdered. Even if Laudna on a whole is a person he simply struggles to understand, with her slightly off-kilter perpetual cheer, he can at least understand being upset about this.]
I would like to say that that's the last of the cruel and gruesome deaths we'll see here, but these monsters seem to have quite a penchant for collecting blood in showy ways.
[THERE IS SO MUCH HAPPENING HERE. He's learning that people from worlds with DND mechanics all live fucking batshit lives... The casual slinging around of spells and magic and wizard bullshit is wild in and of itself, let alone the actual contents of the memory.
Which are... bad! By now he's come to anticipate that most everything he'll end up seeing is going to be exactly that. Painful. A little peek into someone's dark secrets, hidden hurts and sorrows. A dusting of the skeletons in a closet. This, too, is a horrible thing to experience. Feelings of betrayal, of lost faith, of being wrapped up in a war where every side's taken losses to feel furious mourning about.
If that wasn't enough in and of itself, the rest really knocks him off his guard. The feeling of something else, of some quiet thing coming to wakefulness again. Invasive. Horrible. As the memory fades, his arms reflexively cross over his middle, shoulders just slightly raised. A body had just crumbled to dust in "his" hands, but the first thing he asks is:]
[she is better at avoidance than she is at disguising her feelings. the intensity of that anger washes over her, but just like the memory, it ebbs away afterwards, and she's left feeling hollow, drained, guilty.]
[WHO IS HER...... Something very not good, presumably. He's wondering why so many people have things inside of them that could potentially blow them up (literal) (metaphoric).]
[IT'S JAMBA JUICE TIME. He's here to get a mixer for his alcohol which he desperately needs after being cursed so many times and also having to witness so many captivating booties.]
The busiest Monday I've had in a while... It's not normally like this, but considering you're coming from the other side, perhaps it feels the same?
[One last smoothie for the road! Lucas is a bit banged up but hilariously received more damage from Power than the actual god. He's used to tanking through injuries, they can both vibe concerningly together.]
A bit tired and quite confused, if I'm being perfectly frank. I'm still not entirely certain I could explain the events of the day succinctly... But we've all managed, somehow. How about yourself?
I think most of us can agree on that. [Everyone for the former! Most people for the latter!] I do hope that you don't have any world-ending travesties to return to and defeat, given how common it seems... [...] Ah, wait. No. You have your god war, don't you?

[THE FALSE EVIL BIBLE??? Rather than looking amused, he just looks Concerned.]
A book shouldn't give you visions... Perhaps it really is better off thrown into the fire. It sounds just as potentially demonic as others have said.

Oh, yes. I simply don't like that woman! She put Karma in a barrel and drowned him alive! I find people like that quite unbearable, don't you?
[it was not erin's fault but she is not good at distinguishing those things.]
