[after the npc reveal, laudna can be found sitting out near the pyre on her own, with pâté, a dead rat with a bird skull sewn onto his head and bony bird wings, fluttering nearby. she has her long hair hanging down over her face and she's clearly talking to herself outloud.]
...Still nothing from you? How long are you going to give me the silent treatment? You're useless!
[where is mathis on this fine sunday? laudna can be found lingering near the pyre a little after the execution, thoughtfully working on a little embroidery hoop.]
[let's explore new locations while we also experience the wonders of affection week. laudna is at the clothing store, inspecting the invisible sewing machine and poking through the available options.]
With a little embroidery and some darts, this seems perfectly serviceable.
laudna is out by the island, since that's where everyone was found. it's not as though they're likely to find new clues out here, but it feels strange to just not acknowledge it.]
[well. i don't have much to say about this one. this is rough. i think laudna is hanging out by the pyre, doing her embroidery, crying nasty looking black goopy tears silently to herself.]
confidence isn't making this one any easier, that's for sure; mathis is in the church, tonight, sitting here with his books, though he isn't quite managing to read.
there's a new resident in here, also. an orchid, with 'rosalie' written on the pot it's planted in.]
[where is mathis. laudna is somewhere in the void, though she's in the village, she's not going back to the tree realm. she seems calm enough, despite everything.]
...Hello, Mathis.
[she found another culprit, someone she liked, and didn't go absolutely insane! that counts as a win.]
laudna's thought share is just manifesting right now as some little flowers around her head. she seems like she's in a good enough mood. though when one ride or another starts playing music and flashing lights, she startles a little.
[she's not hard to find; she's sitting on the steps of the haunted house working on some finishing touches of a doll. her emotions are cold. she feels a lot of grief, but there's a stubbornness, too. she doesn't feel guilt.
[Mathis and Laudna are gathered together in the breakroom at the coffee shop where they both work. Mathis pretends not to cry, but Laudna notices him shedding tears, dripping them into the latte he's preparing.
"Tell me the truth, Mathis," Laudna says. "You're in love with him, aren't you?"
Mathis glances at the television, where world famous pop star Geto is performing with his band. It's an incredibly performance. But Mathis can see the flirty looks he's giving to his bandmate.
"He would never fall in love with a nobody like me," Mathis sighs softly.
"I could tell he loved you the moment he first worked into this coffee shop and ordered a Flat White," Laudna says. "Go to him. I'll cover our shift." ]
[let's meet in the safety and comfort of jamba juice and get some celebratory smoothies. laudna is a bit banged up, but nothing too horrible. she's a d&d so she doesn't really mind.]
